Your Impact: The Donor Development Manager will grow and strengthen our base of grassroots and mid-level donors in support of our global health and rights mission. Reporting to the Director of Development, Principal and Major Gifts, you will build sustainable, diversified fundraising pipeline, engaging individual midlevel donors, cultivating deeper relationships with existing supporters, and moving mid-level donors toward major gift readiness. You will bring deep experience managing $1Million+ donor portfolios, with a proven track record in designing and optimizing integrated campaigns across digital, direct response, email, SMS, social, telemarketing, and offline channels. You will bring strong technical fluency in fundraising and CRM ecosystems, including EveryAction, Raiser’s Edge, Omatic, or comparable platforms, and be able to translate data, systems, and donor insights into scalable fundraising performance.


Key Responsibilities:


Campaign Leadership:



  • Design and oversee fully integrated omni-channel fundraising campaigns across email, digital advertising, SMS, direct mail, phone, social, web, and peer-to-peer or other engagement channels as appropriate.

  • Facilitate and drive campaign planning from concept through execution, including messaging strategy, audience selection, production timelines, launch readiness, QA, reporting, and post-campaign analysis.

  • Optimize campaign performance through A/B testing, response analysis, and continuous refinement of channel mix, creative, cadence, and targeting with targets to acquire new individual donors through direct mail, digital campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising, events, and community outreach.

  • Build and manage donor acquisition campaigns in partnership with communications/marketing teams

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with community groups, faith organizations, and grassroots networks


Mid-Level Donor Cultivation: 



  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors (typically giving $500–$10,000 annually), developing personalized cultivation and stewardship plans

  • Conduct regular donor visits, calls, and correspondence to build authentic, long-term relationships

  • Identify and qualify mid-level donors with capacity and affinity for major gift upgrades; partner with the major gifts team on transitions

  • Develop and implement stewardship strategies to improve donor retention and lifetime value, including acknowledgment processes, impact reporting, and recognition programs

  • Track donor engagement and giving patterns to identify upgrade, renewal, and lapsed-donor opportunities

  • Create donor communications (updates, impact stories, thank-you touchpoints) in partnership with communication team

  • Support annual giving campaigns, giving days, and donor appreciation events

  • Collaborate with the development team on integrated fundraising strategies across channels


Data, Systems & Fundraising Operations:



  • Serve as a functional lead on fundraising technology and data operations, with hands-on or advanced knowledge of EveryAction, Raiser’s Edge, Omatic, and/or comparable CRM, integration, and campaign platforms.

  • Ensure effective use of CRM and campaign tools for segmentation, donor tracking, workflow management, reporting, and revenue forecasting.

  • Work closely with data and operations teams to maintain data integrity, campaign accuracy, and smooth platform integrations.

  • Translate reporting and analytics into clear recommendations for strategic decision-making and performance improvement.

  • Support system enhancements, process improvements, and cross-platform workflows that strengthen fundraising execution at scale.


What You Bring: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Public Administration, writing, or relevant field of study or a combination of work experience and education that yields the minimally required competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or development

  • Demonstrated success growing a grassroots or mid-level donor program and improving donor retention

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills; comfortable with direct donor outreach (calls, visits, events)

  • Experience with EveryAction, Raiser’s Edge, Omatic, and/or comparable CRM, integration, and campaign platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple donor relationships and campaigns simultaneously

  • Genuine alignment with and commitment to Pathfinder International's mission and rights-based approach to sexual and reproductive health.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Fluency in French, Portuguese or Arabic

  • Experience with non-USAID-funded projects

  • Passion for Pathfinder’s mission and commitment to developing and leveraging a deep knowledge of fundraising best practices at cause-driven organizations.

  • Ability to track donor trends and prepare reports on results.
