Job Description - Draftsman

Southeast Texas HR is seeking an experienced Draftsman to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As a leader in recruiting and HR services, our company has a reputation for excellence in selecting top talent. As our Draftsman, you will work alongside a team to design and modify components for our client. You must be comfortable working at an adjustable table and a computer terminal. This will be a temp-to-perm position for the ideal candidate. This job is a Monday - Friday days position and pay will be $19+ per hour.

Responsibilities

Follow specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings

Prepare both sketches and detailed work with AutoCAD systems

Perform calculations for materials and weight limitations

Communicate with team and incorporate knowledge gained into drawings

Prepare, review and redraft alongside the engineering team

Ensure final designs meet all compliance requirements

Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

In order to apply for this job you must meet the following requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

2 or more years of draftsman experience.

2 or more years of working AutoCAD experience.

Excellent computer skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good communication and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
