Drill Press Opr &Set 1st shift (DSC)

Job Description:

·       Set up and operate all types of single or multiple spindle drill presses to drill, countersink, spot face, back spot face, tapping, counterbore and chamfer.

·       Layout work from drawings and perform operations with or without drill jigs.

·       May be required to set up jobs and check first pieces for lower grade Drill Press Operators.

Tools & Equipment Used:

·       All makes and types of drill presses and attachments, machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments

 Experience & Other Requirements:

·       Requires the use of fairly complicated drawings, shop mathematics and a variety of precision measuring instruments with trade knowledge of drill presses.

·       One (1) to three (3) years of experience on drill presses.
