Drop Crew Technician

Socket is looking for hard-working, dependable individuals to join our Drop Crew Technician team. In this role, you’ll assist installation technicians in preparing sites for fiber line installation. This is a physically active, outdoor position—perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work and seeing the results of their efforts every day.

Location

This position supports service areas across our expanding Missouri markets. Technicians are based out of our Columbia Missouri location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and optimize sites for fiber drop installation
• Load, unload, and maintain tools and equipment
• Dig trenches and operate machinery such as a vibratory plow
• Assist with traffic control when working in public rights-of-way
• Keep equipment clean and job sites organized
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Maintain reliable attendance and a clean driving record
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous labor or construction experience
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of construction or utility work (preferred)
