Description

Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit. We accomplish this in many ways including, but not limited to; treating our customers/employees in a fair and ethical manner, promoting an inclusive work environment, being a responsible member of the community, providing the right products at the right time with fair and accurate pricing. Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Ensure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs.
Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity (including Computer Assisted Ordering).
Check condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received.
Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
Ensure all vendors follow company policies and procedures.
Display a positive attitude.
Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
