Drywall Estimator

An established commercial drywall contractor with over four decades of presence in the Phoenix Valley is seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join its Tempe-based team. The Role

This position is a hands-on estimating role responsible for preparing detailed bids for commercial drywall, framing, and paint scopes ranging from $500K to $6M. Success in this role means confidently managing multiple bid deadlines, delivering accurate takeoffs using OST and QuickBid, and helping drive a consistent pipeline of awarded work.

The role is based 95% in-office and interfaces with both internal teams and external clients. While not required, candidates with leadership aspirations may step into a Lead Estimator role over time.

Responsibilities

  Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial drywall, framing, and paint scopes

  Respond to bid invitations via online platforms

  Work within OST and QuickBid software to prepare competitive, accurate estimates

  Support handoff processes and contribute to business development through high-quality bidding

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 
  

  10–15 years’ experience in commercial drywall and framing estimating

  
  


• 
  

  Proven track record estimating mid- to large-scale projects ($500K to $5–6M)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong proficiency in OST and QuickBid (minimum 5 years’ experience)

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to contribute to annual sales targets of $4–6 million in bid volume

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of construction documents, scope reviews, and cost structures

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable working in a non-corporate, high-output environment

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  
  

Nice to Have:

Salary

  Base Salary: $105,000–$115,000

  Total Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 (includes performance-based bonuses)

  Lead Estimator Level: $125,000–$140,000 with added performance bonus potential
