Solid Rock Recruiting is partnered with a well-established commercial drywall contractor seeking a Senior Commercial Drywall Project Manager to lead large-scale Division 9 projects in the Orangeburg, NY area.

This is a high-impact role for an experienced PM who can step into an active workload and take ownership of complex commercial drywall projects from start to finish.

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple commercial drywall projects, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships. This role requires strong technical knowledge of drywall systems, the ability to lead project teams, and experience handling significant backlog.

The individual hired will immediately step into approximately $40M in active backlog, making this an ideal opportunity for a seasoned PM looking for stability and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  Manage large-scale commercial drywall projects from preconstruction through close-out

  Oversee project schedules, budgets, change orders, and cost controls

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with general contractors, architects, and internal field teams

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all phases of construction

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize On-Screen Takeoff software for takeoffs, documentation, and project tracking

  
  


• 
  

  Lead and support project teams to drive consistent, successful outcomes

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial drywall / Division 9

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding of commercial drywall systems and construction processes

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (required)

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to manage multiple projects and large dollar values simultaneously

  Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
