Dynamic Sales Leader - Automotive

Job Description - Dynamic Sales Leader - Automotive

Dynamic Sales Leader

Sales Coaching • Team Development • Client Experience • Deal Strategy

If You're the Sales Leader We're Looking For...

You've probably never considered working at a car dealership.

In fact, if someone suggested it before today, your first reaction might have been:

"Not a chance."

We get it.

Most of the leaders on our team felt exactly the same way—until they discovered what Maverick is really about.

The automotive industry has earned many of its stereotypes. High pressure. Long hours. Big egos. Old -school management. Customers who feel like they're being "worked."

We're building the opposite.

If you believe sales should be built on trust instead of pressure, coaching instead of commanding, and relationships instead of transactions, keep reading.

You might find the leadership opportunity you've been looking for in an industry you never expected.

Who We Are

Maverick Car Company isn't trying to become the biggest dealership.

We're trying to become the most trusted.

Since opening in 2008, we've grown more than five times while earning over 2,000 Google reviews with a 4.9 -star rating and being voted Idaho's Best and Best of the Treasure Valley five times.

Customers regularly tell us things like:

"We came in strangers and left as family."

"The most revolutionary dealership I've ever experienced."

"They restored my faith that businesses can actually care about people."

Those aren't marketing slogans.

They're the standard we expect ourselves to live up to every day.

We're building a company where people love coming to work, customers love buying cars, and great leaders get to do what they do best—develop people.

The Opportunity

This isn't a traditional Sales Manager.

It isn't a Desk Manager.

It isn't a Finance Manager.

It's all of those things—and something much bigger.

We're looking for someone who can build people.

Someone who loves helping others succeed just as much as succeeding themselves.

Someone who believes great sales organizations aren't built by having one superstar—they're built by developing an entire team of professionals who continuously improve.

You'll spend your days coaching Client Advisors, helping them create opportunities, improving their sales skills, building confidence, removing obstacles, guiding live customer interactions, structuring deals, developing leaders, and creating an experience that customers can't stop talking about.

Finance and deal strategy are certainly part of the role.

But they aren't the purpose.

People are.

What You'll Lead

Sales Coaching & Team Development

This is your biggest responsibility.

You'll spend more time developing people than sitting behind a desk.

You'll coach in real time, help Advisors navigate difficult conversations, celebrate wins, identify growth opportunities, and create a culture where everyone gets a little better every day.

You'll help your team improve:

  • Communication

  • Relationship building

  • Consultative selling

  • Confidence

  • Time management

  • Closing skills

  • Follow -up

  • Objection handling

  • Accountability

  • Professionalism

Your success will be measured as much by the growth of your team as by the sales they produce.

Lead Generation & Business Development

Great salespeople don't wait for customers.

They create opportunities.

You'll help every Client Advisor learn how to build their own business through:

  • Referrals

  • Repeat customers

  • Community involvement

  • Networking

  • CRM follow -up

  • Personal branding

  • Prospecting

  • Re -engaging unsold opportunities

Our goal is for every Advisor to develop a loyal client base that continues growing year after year.

Create Exceptional Client Experiences

You'll be actively involved with customers from the beginning of the buying journey.

Rather than stepping in only when there's a problem, you'll help create confidence, simplify decisions, remove pressure, and ensure every client feels heard and respected.

The experience should feel educational, transparent, enjoyable, and memorable.

We want customers leaving with stories worth sharing—not just another vehicle.

Guide Deal Strategy

You'll partner with Client Advisors to structure deals that work for both the customer and the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deal structure

  • Financing strategy

  • Trade evaluations

  • Lender relationships

  • Protection product presentation

  • Negotiation support

  • Ethical profitability

Strong profitability matters.

How we achieve it matters even more.

Lead Operational Excellence

You'll help ensure every transaction moves smoothly from agreement to funding.

That includes:

  • Contract accuracy

  • Compliance

  • Funding

  • Stipulations

  • Trade documentation

  • CRM accuracy

  • Follow -up

  • Appointment management

  • Problem resolution

You're someone who believes excellence happens in both the details and the relationships.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn't measured by one great month.

It's measured by the culture you help create.

You'll know you're succeeding when:

  • Client Advisors actively seek your coaching.

  • The team consistently improves month after month.

  • Referral and repeat business continue to grow.

  • Lead conversion improves at every stage of the sales process.

  • Every Advisor is building their own client base.

  • Clients rave about their experience before they're ever asked for a review.

  • Deals are structured cleanly and profitably.

  • The sales floor feels calm, collaborative, accountable, and fun.

  • Maverick's reputation becomes even stronger than it is today.

Who You Are

You love seeing people win.

Helping someone reach their potential is just as rewarding as achieving your own goals.

You're the type of leader who coaches every day—not because it's on your calendar, but because it's simply how you lead.

You hold high standards without creating fear.

You believe accountability and encouragement belong together.

You know trust is earned.

You believe education beats pressure.

You lead with humility.

You celebrate your team's success more than your own.

You thrive in fast -paced environments where no two days look exactly alike.

Experience leading a sales team is more important than experience selling cars.

Automotive experience can certainly help, but we are just as interested in exceptional leaders from industries like retail, financial services, hospitality, technology, business -to -business sales, or any environment where coaching people and building relationships drives success.

Why Maverick?

Because this isn't about selling more cars.

It's about building something remarkable.

You'll help shape the careers of talented people.

You'll help customers make important financial decisions with confidence.

You'll help build one of Idaho's most trusted brands.

And you'll do it alongside a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

We offer competitive compensation, healthcare, PTO, a 401(k), and a schedule designed to support life outside of work.

But the biggest benefit is the opportunity to lead differently.

If you're looking for a place where coaching matters, integrity wins, people come first, and leadership is measured by the success of others, we'd love to meet you.
