Agency: Department of Human Services  - Effective July 1, 2026 this position will transition from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to the Illinois Department of Early Childhood (IDEC).  After this date, the role will no longer be part of IDHS and will instead operate under the newly established IDEC agency structure.

Position Overview:  

The Early Intervention (EI) Clinical and Quality Manager serves as the program’s primary clinical advisor and provides full-line supervisory leadership to assigned staff. In this role, the manager oversees and guides clinical practices, ensuring that EI services align with state standards, professional requirements, and best practices. The position leads and coordinates cross-system and cross-unit quality initiatives to enhance program performance, service consistency, and overall outcomes for children and families.

Term Appointment:
Candidates hired into a term position shall be appointed for a term of 4 years and are subject to a probationary period. The term may be renewed for successive four-year terms at the Director of the Department of Human Services’s discretion.
