About us

Our goal at Jeff's bagel run is to bake fresh, bring joy, and build community. We started in our founder's (Jeff) home kitchen in 2019 and have grown to open 30 locations. And now we are bringing scratch made bagels to Gainesville this summer! We are looking for a dedicated person who is looking to learn the bagel business, and hopefully grow with us as we expand our footprint. We operate as a team, and we close at 2pm everyday!

Restaurant or bakery experience would be a bonus. We will fully train to execute our process. A great candidate will be disciplined, fast, and take pride in consistency, delivering a quality product day in and day out.

Must be willing to work in a small, hot space, boiling and baking bagels to keep up with a high demand. Must be a good teammate.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and move quickly and efficiently under pressure.

Other potential workload: Cream cheese scooping, vegetable chopping, cookie baking, dishes, general cleaning, and front of house service when needed.

Responsibilities and Requirements (don't worry, we can train you!):

• Understands the importance of all baking procedures and recipes


• Prepping and baking bagels


• Open Bake (Starting between 4am-4:30am)


• Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures


• Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough


• Clean and disinfect work area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.


• Proof bagels


• Recognize the importance of time and temperature


• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.


• Knead and shape dough


• Operate machinery to mix, knead, and shape dough.


• Monitor the quality of the dough throughout the process.


• Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized.


• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.


• Must be able to start work as early as 4am


• Weekend availability required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
