EDI Analyst I

Job Summary:

The EDI Analyst will act as the organization's internal subject matter expert, working closely with internal and external customers, to ensure desired outcomes to EDI projects, requests, and inquiries.

• Resolve EDI issues timely and efficiently
• Analyze trends and recommend solutions for Coordinator team to adopt
• Provide back-up support to EDI Supervisor when needed
• Provide subject matter expertise of shipment life cycle and supporting applications and processes
• Develop intimate knowledge of business strategy, business models and processes in order to identify improvement opportunities and value-added capabilities
• Work closely with EDI Project Manager to drive automating, scaling and continuous improvement of business and internal processes
• Receive and respond to EDI customer inquiries regarding 210 Freight Invoices, 214 Shipment Statuses, 211 Bill of Lading, and 204 Carrier Load Tender
• Work with customers, vendors and third-party partners to analyze requirements and determine specifications
• Implement customers onto the EDI system using EDI ANSI X12 and Freight industry knowledge
• Troubleshoot EDI issues using the VAN and ISeries
• Work effectively across teams and departments as well as directly with customers
• Serve as subject matter expert across EDI types and platforms, training team members as required
• Host or attend conference calls and meetings with external and internal customers
• Perform root cause analysis for customer carrier report cards
• Research and resolve EDI issues related to customer freight documents
• Monitor and update customer error reports on a daily basis
• Provide customer support beyond normal business hours
• Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position is required; freight industry knowledge is desirable
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Must be able to interact well with others
• Good organizational skills
• Customer support experience is highly desirable
• Knowledge of EDI Translator and ANSI X12 knowledge is desirable
• FTP knowledge is desirable
• Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
• Must be able to interact well with others
• Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
