The EHS Manager is responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and security efforts for our Ellisville Facility of approximately 76 warehouse and high powerlab employees and 80 salaried employees on the HQ. The EHS Manager covers both the distribution center and the Bussmann HQ (entire campus) and will report directly into the Site Manager. Lead the creation of the site EHS&S targets and objectives (MESH) in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS&S strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS&S culture, compliance and results. Manage completion of site and workstation-level risk assessments to identify and prioritize EHS&S aspects and hazards. Utilize the company's EHS&S database (Benchmark/MESH Prisim) to manage data related to EHS&S incidents, consumption of natural resources such as water, and EHS&S action plans. Lead the deployment of MESH element champions and teams and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the activities required to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement. Manage the completion of a sitewide annual evaluation of compliance with Federal, State, local and company EHS&S requirements. Investigate incidents (including near misses, releases, and losses) and accidents to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective action plans. Project Management - Use EBS and other management tools to identify, plan, gain approval for, and manage EHS projects. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years experience in environmental, health and safety (EHS) Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufuacturing or distribution center Bachelor's degree in Environmenal Health & Safety from an accredited institution Proven experience in knowledge and/or experience driving process improvements and sustaining implementation to prevent future incidents Experience working in a unionized facility Strong knowledge in federal RCRA waste management regulations and EPA, OSHA & DOT federal, state, and local regulations Highly proficient in data management Strong collaborative skills; ability to successfully work in a matrix environment Demonstrated success in: a) driving zero incident safety culture; b); performance results; c) building high performance teams; d) leading cross-functionally; e) driving organizational change
