Pay: $120,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year

Location: Columbia, MD or Rockville, MD. This role is designed around meaningful in-office collaboration, particularly while getting established with our team. Hybrid flexibility is available as performance goals and benchmarks are successfully met.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in Maryland and have 2+ years of directly relevant elder law or estate planning experience.

Job Description

• Counsel individuals and families on estate planning, elder law, asset protection, and related planning needs.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other sophisticated planning documents.
• Advise clients on matters that may include Medicaid planning, special needs planning, estate and trust administration, guardianship, and fiduciary issues.
• Lead client meetings and translate complex legal concepts into practical, understandable guidance.
• Manage matters from initial consultation through planning, documentation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, staff, financial professionals, and other advisors to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Develop strong client and professional relationships that support the continued growth of the practice.
• Contribute to business development efforts and take an active role in building your own practice within the firm.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Bar license required.
• 2+ years of elder law or estate planning experience required.
• Strong estate planning drafting, counseling, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Genuine interest in growing professionally and helping build the practice.
• Experience with special needs planning, Medicaid planning, estate administration, trusts, or related areas is a plus.

• 2 to 4 years: $120K to $150K

• 5 to 8 years: $150K to $190K
