Job Description:
BW Papersystems is looking for a talented Electrical Assembler that will be working under general supervision, performing installation, and wiring of electrical components on company produced equipment. In this role, you will read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.
Essential Functions:
Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using rivets, bolts, and soldering equipment.
Demonstrates expertise in industrial electrical concepts and principles, with a strong understanding of electrical components and their application in designing industrial cabinets.
Label, wire and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards from wiring diagrams.
Operate various hand and power tools properly, safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Check wiring for proper coding and termination; check for shorts, grounds, and continuity; report any design or print errors to supervisor.
Participate in testing of completed machines; may diagnose and remedy electrical programs.
Detect defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions.
Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements
Participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issues.
Communicate and interact with other team members regularly and effectively, focusing on working together as a team.
Work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Able to multi-task various duties throughout the day as needed, with an ability to be versatile and flexible.
Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Skills and Requirements:
High school Diplomas or GED Certificate
2+ years of experience in electrical assembly or working in a manufacture environment
