Electrical Engineer III Contract - 2 years Pittsburgh, PA 15275 $55.00 - $60.00 per hour + Available medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, accrued PTO, 401k with company match. 50% Travel Required to Columbus, OH.
Job Description:
Work on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical midstream infrastructure. Ex. pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
Promote the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
Implement safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
Provide expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
Participate in complex engineering projects from concept to completion to align with business goals, timelines and budgets.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering - Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
4 + years of experience in electrical engineering for midstream natural gas infrastructure, data centers or related industry
PMP certification or Project Management experience preferred.
Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects
Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools)
Knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
Support designing and implantation PLC's and HMI's
Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear
Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems
Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers
Experience with participation of the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
Organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
