Electrical Engineer HVAC Controls and Manufacturing Support

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer with strong experience in commercial HVAC systems, industrial controls, and manufacturing production support. This role focuses on troubleshooting electrical issues on the production floor, developing wiring documentation, programming controllers, and ensuring compliance with UL/ETL safety standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in delivering reliable electrical designs and support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical troubleshooting and production support to resolve manufacturing and equipment issues
• Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical documentation for commercial HVAC products
• Program and support the development of controllers and control logic for HVAC systems and test stands
• Specify and size electrical components, including electric reheat systems, heating elements, wiring, and cabling
• Support flow stand and product test environments; assist with validation and commissioning activities
• Ensure compliance with UL and/or ETL safety standards and requirements
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and sales teams; support customer-facing technical issues when needed
• Maintain accurate, high-quality engineering documentation using CAD and electrical design tools

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience (10+ years strongly preferred)
• Experience in production or manufacturing troubleshooting within an electrical engineering environment
• Strong background in electrical design and wiring documentation for HVAC or industrial systems
• Experience with controller programming and/or control systems development
• Experience with electrical component sizing (e.g., heating elements, electric reheat systems, wiring/cabling)
• Knowledge of UL and/or ETL safety standards and compliance requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LabVIEW programming and test automation systems
• Background in commercial HVAC, building automation, or industrial controls
• Experience using CAD tools for electrical design documentation
• Familiarity with manufacturing test systems and validation environments
