Responsibilities and Duties



  • Service, repair, and/or propose replacement of electrical components, accessories, and equipment. Including but not limited to standby generators, surge protectors, electrical distribution panels/equipment, disconnects, fixtures, security lighting, landscape lighting, attic fans, ceiling fans, meter bases, service risers, underground services, and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

  • Replace, repair, modify, and/or install electrical components, accessories, and equipment to meet or exceed the manufacturer's recommendations and/or local codes, whichever standard is higher.

  • Assist the consumer in making a buying decision related to the electrical equipment and service agreements.

  • Ability to service and start up equipment, and adjust to the manufacturer and job specification.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair all issues that arise that would keep the equipment from functioning properly or the customer from being satisfied.

  • Communicate to the consumer on the proper operation and owner's maintenance of the installed equipment. Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the homeowner.

  • Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign necessary paperwork and collect payments as directed.

  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.

  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

  • Learn and embrace the company's vision and mission statements and work within the scope of the defined position to continually strive to achieve and execute the goals.

  • Have a positive "can do" attitude with open dialogue addressing problems, issues, and obstacles that prevent you, your fellow team members, and the organization from achieving their goals and realizing success.

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized company vehicle at all times.

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications



  • Basic electrical wiring knowledge, including use of a volt ohm meter, understanding Ohm's law, how to properly size wire and breakers, and where to get the measurement to determine if a unit is operating within specifications.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical tool and cord safety.

  • Basic understanding of proper practices and required codes for running, connecting, and servicing wiring and electric to the equipment.

  • Knowledge of the differences between low and high voltage wiring.

  • Knowledge of local codes, permit requirements, and equipment applications.

  • Previous manufacturer product training preferred.

  • Must have the ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds, sit or stand for periods of time, kneel and squat for periods of time, as well as climb ladders and carry equipment.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, clients, vendors, and others.

  • Represent the company in a positive manner at all times, both inside and outside the workplace.

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends, as well as be on-call as required.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to use an iPad and smartphone.

  • Minimum of two years' experience.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
