Job Description - Electrical Tester - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek)

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Electrical Tester - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek) to join our team.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour.\n\nThe core hours are 7am-7:30pm.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Electrical Tester will set up, operate and maintain a variety of test equipment to perform electrical, electronic and mechanical tests on a variety of control equipment under the supervision of an experienced tester.\n\nIn this function you will:\n\n\u2022 Test equipment, ensure it meets customer specifications as well as safety and quality requirements under the supervision. \n\u2022 Ensure a safe work environment for self and others and ensure safety procedures are followed. \n\u2022 Constantly involved in product and process knowledge; requiring additional classroom work, assigned reading, and training from an experienced tester (A). \n\u2022 Build positive relationships that support job objectives and a team environment. \n\u2022 Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers; will interface heavily with customers on witness tests under the supervision and guidance of an experienced tester (A). \n\u2022 Record data and write reports; process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability. \n\u2022 Follow procedures with accurately, efficiently and with strict attention to details. \n\u2022 Troubleshoot and repair various problems that could occur during course of test such as warranty and non-warranty problems; requires Tester to think critically to solve problems with the assistance of an experienced tester (A or B). \n\u2022 Continuously improve work environment processes; may require Tester to suggest ways to develop test setups and new procedures when current procedures are inadequate. \n\u2022 Recognize and report quality issues through the correct channels as they arise. \n\u2022 Perform other tasks as required. \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics from an accredited institution. \n\u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation \n\u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
