Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery, primary focus will be on electrical and controls, AC and DC circuits, VFD’s and instrumentation but may also include assisting with mechanical repairs on pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers.
Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single-phase AC and DC equipment.
Perform electrical diagnostics and assist with mechanical diagnostics with use of multimeters, meggers, calibration tools, and ladder / block logic within PLC programs. Replace or repair defective equipment and parts
Perform minor building repair and upkeep
Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery as required
Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage
Calibrate instruments, scales, meters and other equipment as required to keep plant equipment functioning.
Ability to be fit tested and don a respirator
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Other duties including assisting with mechanical repairs / PM’s as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Reliable presence and promptness on premises
Ability to communicate with Supervisors, Associates, and Contractors for work projects
Project management including task sequencing, resource management, scheduling,
Specialty Skills in, electrical, PLC and instrumentation.
Researching information Decision-making and problem-solving
Performing general physical activities, handling and moving objects
Qualification Requirements
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of High school diploma or GED
Ability to become forklift certified
Current Driver’s License and clean record
Preferred Qualifications
Electrical training or apprenticeship completion
Current NFPA 70E training
PLC programming / diagnostics
Control circuit design and installation

The employee must be above to ascend and descend multiple levels of stairs, use of ladders, walk on open grating structures at heights up to 50 feet, able to pass a respirator fit test and able to complete the outlined physical requirement while wearing a respirator.
