Eaton\u2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Assembler (B) - 1st Shift to join our team in Glenolden, PA!\n\nThe hours for this role are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Electro-Mechanical Assembler assembles and/or tests components using tools and fixtures and working from manufacturing documentation. \n\nIn this role, you will:\n\n * Work from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro- mechanical components. \n * Use machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.\n * Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.\n * Make a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.\n * Use equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to in-process test parts during assembly. \n * Assist in resolving production failures or product issues. \n * Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency. \n * Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution\n * Minimum of 6 months of experience in electro-mechanical environment\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee. \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Associates/Technical degree in applicable field from an accredited institution.\n * 6+ months of soldering and blueprint reading experience\n * Experience with PCB assembly and testing\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Position requires use of PPE \u2013 Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed\n * Soldering J Std certification\n * Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools and instruments\n * Basic understanding of electronic theory, Ohm\u2019s law, and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage. \n * When an assembly fails resistance at in-process or final test the employee would need to work with Mfg Engineering or SME to diagnose and recommend fixing\n * Proficient with some equipment and tools in Value Stream.\n * Good quality workmanship and displayed ability of meeting production standards where trained. \n\n\n\n#LI-SK1\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
