Our programs are built on equal parts of curiosity and collaboration.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a second shift Microelectronics Test Technician 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.\n\nWhat you\u0027ll get to do:\n\n * Test, troubleshoot, and repair microelectronics hardware at component level \n\n * Following written test procedures, electronic work instructions (eWIs) and provide feedback to engineering as needed for process improvements.\n\n * Operate test equipment, environmental chambers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, network/signal analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, torque wrenches, etc.\n\n * Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble modules, subassemblies, and systems.\n\n * Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products.\n\n * Follow all program and site security requirements.\n\n * Pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction are required.\n\n * Work in a production and repair environment with production goals and deadlines\n\n * Perform work responsibilities with limited supervision.\n\n * Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that includes extended shifts, may include holidays, and weekends as required.\n\n\n\n\nThis is a 2nd shift position.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Microelectronics Test Technician 2:\n\n * High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant, industry-related work experience.\n\n * Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF electronics \n\n * Experience with reading and interpreting schematics and drawings\n\n * MS Office experience.\n\n * Ability and willingness to work second shift.\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.\n\n * US Citizenship required\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications Microelectronics Test Technician 2:\n\n * Associate of Science or technical degree in electronics technology\n\n * Military experience and education working with electronic equipment and systems\n\n * Experience with RF electronics, including tuning, testing, and/or troubleshooting RF filters and amplifiers\n\n * Experience with Microsoft Office applications\n\n * Experience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system to document testing performed, enter test results, \u0026 create Quality Notifications\n\n * Experience with continuous improvement and process improvement principles\n\n * Active Secret clearance.\n\n * Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.\n\n * Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Can Offer You \nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
