Job Purpose

The Electronic Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of offshore drilling rigs. You'll leverage your technical expertise and commitment to problem-solving to maintain optimal performance and adherence to safety standards. Your responsibilities encompass the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of electronic equipment used in drilling activities. You'll also collaborate closely with the rig crew and other technicians, while contributing to the administration of the Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and ordering necessary parts.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Total Years of Experience (Minimum)

• 10 years of experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment in a rigs or industrial environment.

Relevant Experience

• Experience working with the types of electronic equipment typically found on offshore drilling rigs (communication systems, navigation systems, drilling instrumentation, etc.).


• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and components.


• Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles.


• Knowledge of safety procedures for working with electrical equipment.
