The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman\u0027s Amherst Systems in Buffalo, New York; an organization focused on development and production of state-of-the-art Simulation Systems solutions and focused assembly cells supporting other Northrop Grumman operations and products.\n\nWhy You\u0027ll Love Working Here:\n\n * Enjoy a 9/80 Schedule \u2013 Every other Friday off\n\n * Work in a Clean, Modern Facility \u2013 Bright, tidy, and organized\n\n * Full Benefits \u2013 Health insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off (including end of year shutdown), and more\n\n * Company Culture \u2013 Join our Employee Networks and participate in regular on-site and off-site employee events\n\n * Defining Possible \u2013 Our products are on the cutting edge of electronic warfare technology and play an important role in protecting our brave service members\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Will Get To Do:\n\n * Tests and troubleshoots RF products including RF drawers, discrete RF components and microelectronic parts in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions.\n\n * Tests and troubleshoots digital circuit cards in accordance with specifications and engineering instructions.\n\n * Analyzes equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and integrated test systems\n\n * Diagnoses malfunctions using schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings and other test procedures and equipment.\n\n * Removes, replaces and/or repairs system issues as required.\n\n * Performs RF tuning on microelectronics, which requires working under a microscope for much of the workday.\n\n * Modifies avionics systems according to technical publications or engineering drawings\n\n * Performs equipment maintenance or calibration on test equipment as required.\n\n * Performs assembly processes as needed to maintain workflow.\n\n * Records and ensures validity of entries into data collection and test systems.\n\n * Interprets and recommends corrective action to test findings.\n\n * Executes proper documentation of actions performed in applicable forms.\n\n * Write or modify test procedures.\n\n * Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.\n\n * Ability to learn tasks under microscope on very small assemblies with outstanding manual dexterity and precision.\n\n * Assists other functional team members with any associated tasks.\n\n\n\n\n**Please note that this opportunity is contingent on material delivery/availability and offers flexible start date options.**\n\n\u200b\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience; or an associate\u2019s degree in an electronic field of study plus 2 years of relevant experience; or 2 years of U.S. military electronic schooling plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered\n\n * Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment. \n\n * Experience working with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.\n\n * Manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble small parts\n\n * U.S. citizenship\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Hands-on use of the drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures.\n\n * Experience working with microelectronics and performing tuning under a microscope.\n\n * Experience working with engineering teams.\n\n * Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.\n\n * Working knowledge of defense electronics, with a preference to Electronic Warfare systems.\n\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n\n * Experience working in a performance based and metrics driven culture.\n\n\n\n\n#MPR\n\nWhat We Can Offer You:\n\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
