Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nThe software team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Embedded Software Engineer based out of Camarillo, CA. and support our EA-18G Growler Program. All software tasking will be performed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Point Mugu and our Northrop Grumman Camarillo, CA office.\n\nNote: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work on-site.\n\nWhat you\u2019ll get to do:\n\n * Develop embedded real-time system software\n * Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team\n * Resolve software and system defects\n * Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines\n * Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings\n * Use project dependent tools including:\n * Rational Clear Case, ClearQuest, DOORS\n * Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence\n * Ada, C/C++, C#, Python\n * Green Hills Integrity RTOS, Windows, and Linux\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Embedded Software Engineer:\n\n * BS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience, or MS degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 1 years of experience\n * Experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#\n * Knowledge of object-oriented software development\n * Ability to function as a member of an integrated team\n * Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc.)\n * US Citizenship required\n * Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Strong verbal communication and customer service skills\n * Strong collaborative mindset\n * Experience working full software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program\n * Experience programming with Ada language\n * Experience programming with C++ language\n * Experience with real-time embedded software development\n * Experience working in an Agile environment\n * Electronic Warfare system development and design experience\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
