Position Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and diagnostics
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs and imaging studies
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with emergency medicine physicians
• Perform emergency procedures within scope of practice and hospital protocols
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental protocols

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based Emergency Medicine experience (required for credentialing)
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain licensure
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, Meditech EMR preferred
