• Patient Demographics: Emergency Department Patients

• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 17,000 Annual ED Visits

• Admissions: Included

• Case Mix: Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 15 Emergency Department Beds

• Trauma Level: TBD

• EMR System: Modern EMR

• Office Equipment Available: Standard Emergency Department Resources

• Specialty Backup Available: Dependable Specialty Support

• Support Staff Available: APC Coverage (10 Hours Daily)

• Physician Coverage: 24 Hours Daily

• Hospital Beds: 103

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Emergency Medicine Procedures

• Moderate Sedation

• Acute Illness and Injury Management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Indiana Medical License, Indiana Controlled Substance Registration, and DEA with Indiana Address Required

• Board: Board Certified ABEM/AOBEM or Current ABMS -Recognized Specialty with Qualifying Emergency Medicine Experience

• DEA: Active DEA Required

• Certifications: BLS or CPR Certification Required

• Experience: New EM Residency Graduates Within the Past 12 Months Accepted; Internal Medicine Physicians Must Have Five Years of Continuous Full -Time Experience in a High -Volume Emergency Department (>30,000 Annual Visits)

• Other Qualifications: Documentation of Case Logs for the Past Two Years; CME Attestation Required During Application Process

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Emergency Department Patients

• Manage Acute and Emergent Medical Conditions

• Perform Emergency Medicine Procedures Including Moderate Sedation

• Collaborate with APCs and Specialty Consultants

• Complete Accurate and Timely Medical Documentation

• Deliver High -Quality Patient Care in a Collaborative Team Environment
