Credentialing Timeline: 120 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board certification not required but must have completed a 3-year residency; boards accepted: EM, FP/FM, IM
Licenses: Active, unrestricted Mississippi license required at presentation; DEA with Mississippi address required
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with MS address, Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5; pending DEA accepted
Certifications: ACLS, PALS & ATLS required; ABEM exempt
Experience: Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience requested; case logs past 2 years requested; CME past 2 years
Other Qualifications: Criminal background check required prior to privileges; 2-step PPD or QuantiFERON Gold; immunizations as listed; 3rd-year residents accepted

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ED, treating acute conditions and stabilizing patients
Perform procedures consistent with emergency medicine training (e.g., intubation, suturing, central lines) as required
Work approximately 8 shifts per month to meet urgent coverage needs
Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
Maintain accurate and timely medical records, adhering to facility and regulatory standards
