Trauma Level: N/A (transfers major trauma)
EMR System: Meditech
Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalist, Nephrology, Ortho, Peds, Podiatry, Anesthesia, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Radiology, Surgery, TelePsych, TeleNeuro, Trauma
Support Staff Available: Physicians, APPs, RNs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: ABEM or Board Eligible
Licenses: Active unrestricted VA Medical License
DEA / CDS: Active DEA with VA address, schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS (if not board certified)
Experience: Residency completion
Other Qualifications: Flu vaccine, Case Logs for past 2 years, CME documentation, Sedation Quiz

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages.
Manage acute medical and trauma emergencies, including resuscitation and stabilization.
Collaborate with advanced practice providers and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
Perform emergency procedures such as conscious sedation, intubations, central line placement, and wound management.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Meditech EMR system.
