End Dump Driver

Job Summary

The Haul Dump Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of aggregate and asphalt products to plants and job sites in a safe manner.

Compensation

$28.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections


• Load material at asphalt or aggregate plant and safely transport to other plants and/or job sites


• Tarp load when needed to protect product being hauled


• The position requires cleaning and washing of vehicle to include the spraying down of trailers when needed in designated areas


• Maintains a clean truck and practices good housekeeping on all truck equipment as well as in the plant


• Reports any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary


• Must be able to travel to various work locations based on work availability and customer demand


• Overtime, weekend work, and nights may be required


• Can be exposed to extremes of hot and cold weather


• Must be able to work cooperatively with others

Education

High school diploma or GED

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must have a safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) 


• Must have California Commercial Class A with Doubles Endorsement


• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening to be considered


• No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months


• No serious moving violations within the past 36 months


• Seeking candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and strong customer service skills 


• Must adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state and federal regulations

Preferred:

• Experience in aggregate or heavy construction industries


•  2+ years of commercial driving experience

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing. In accordance with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, for work that will be performed in the San Francisco area, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for employment.
