Pay: $160,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year

Location:

Lexington, Kentucky (Hybrid) — Enjoy a flexible schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely each week.

Note:

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in energy law, administrative law, or civil litigation. Kentucky experience is strongly preferred. Attorneys able to transfer a UBE score for Kentucky licensure or waive into the Kentucky Bar are encouraged to apply. Relocation may be considered for qualified candidates.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in renewable energy, environmental, and administrative litigation matters.
  • Handle proceedings before state agencies, administrative bodies, and courts.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance issues affecting energy projects.
  • Prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and other complex legal filings.
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy.
  • Participate in hearings, appeals, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys across multiple practice areas.
  • Stay current on legal and industry developments impacting the energy sector.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license or ability to obtain Kentucky licensure through UBE transfer or waiver.
  • 2+ years of administrative, civil litigation, or energy law experience.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Experience before the Kentucky Public Service Commission or Kentucky Electrical Generation and Transmission Siting Board is highly preferred.
  • Environmental regulatory, transactional, or litigation experience is a plus.

  • Salary Bands (Only if attorney role):
    • 2-3 years: $160K-$170K
    • 4-5 years: $170K-$183K
    • 6+ years: $183K-$195K
