Energy Efficiency Brand Ambassador Retail (Entry Level)

We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Energy Efficiency Brand Ambassador to represent a utility savings and energy efficiency program inside a high-traffic retail store location.

This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals interested in customer service, retail sales, marketing, lead generation, and brand promotion. You will engage directly with customers, educate them on available energy-saving programs, and assist with enrollment using a tablet or mobile device.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys face-to-face interaction and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment while gaining experience in sales, marketing, and customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with retail customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Promote and explain energy efficiency and utility savings programs
• Educate customers on program benefits, eligibility requirements, and savings opportunities
• Assist customers through the enrollment process using a tablet or mobile device
• Generate and complete customer sign-ups and program enrollments
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly performance goals
• Maintain a positive, professional presence in a retail environment at all times
• Track and report customer interactions and enrollment activity accurately
• Support setup and maintenance of promotional materials and displays as needed

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable initiating conversations with customers in a retail setting
• Positive, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude
• Reliable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts
• Basic comfort with tablets, smartphones, or digital data entry
• Prior experience in retail, sales, customer service, canvassing, or promotions is helpful but not required
