Energy Program Brand Ambassador Retail Sales (Entry-Level)

We are seeking a motivated, outgoing individual to represent a utility savings and energy efficiency program in partnership with Duke Energy inside a retail store location. This is a single-opening, entry-level opportunity ideal for someone interested in sales, customer service, retail marketing, and brand promotion.

Position Overview

As the Energy Program Brand Ambassador, you will engage directly with customers in-store, educate them on available energy-saving programs and cost-reduction benefits, and assist with enrollment using a tablet or mobile device. This role is performance-driven and focused on face-to-face customer interaction in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage and approach customers inside a retail store setting
• Educate customers on energy efficiency programs, savings benefits, and eligibility requirements
• Clearly explain program details and guide customers through enrollment
• Complete sign-ups using tablets or mobile devices
• Maintain a professional, approachable presence in-store at all times
• Meet daily and weekly enrollment goals
• Record and report customer interactions accurately to management
• Assist with setting up and maintaining promotional materials when needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable approaching and speaking with customers in public settings
• Prior experience in retail, sales, customer service, or brand ambassador roles preferred (not required)
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
• Basic technology skills (tablet use and data entry)
• Self-motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented

Preferred Skills

• Experience in lead generation, retail sales, promotional staffing, or event marketing
• Bilingual abilities are a plus (not required)
