Job Description - Engine CFD Analyst

Job Title: ENGINE CFD ANALYST

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut (Onsite)

Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

Experience: 5 years of professional experience with Converge applied to internal combustion engines

Requirements:

Experience using CONVERGE for internal combustion engine simulations.
Expert level proficiency in using CONVERGE (advanced moving meshes, UDF, spray models, sealing features).
Solid understanding of internal combustion engine working principles and simulation techniques.
Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as MATLAB or Python.
Experience with 1D engine simulation software (GT-Suite, AVL Boost, or similar).
Experience with optimization methods and tools.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute 3D CFD models for LiquidPiston's rotary IC engines and associated systems.
Provide expertise in combustion processes and engine operation.
Support 0D/1D simulation team.
Analyze simulation and experimental data to guide engine development.
Develop tools to streamline simulation workflow.
Collaborate with design and test engineers.
Present findings to management and engineering teams.
