Come be a part of our mission!\n\nPayload \u0026 Ground Systems in Azusa, CA is seeking a Engineer Test/Principal Engineer Test (Level 2/3) to support our environmental test engineering group. This role will report on-site daily to our Azusa, CA campus.\n\nJob Duties:\n\n * Responsible for efficiency and organization of Test Engineering facilities and associated hardware / software equipment. \n\n * Author test procedures in coordination with program requirements. Conduct and oversee execution of testing procedures on customer test articles per work instructions and training procedures. \n\n * Complete technical reports, test results, and all required documentation for thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, and other environmental test related efforts.\n\n * Complete test readiness reviews (TRR\u2019S)/CTP\u2019s/CTB\u2019s\n\n * Coordinate testing programs and test equipment use in cooperation with program management, test resources and personnel.\n\n * Oversee a regular maintenance schedule for all test systems and associated equipment. \n\n * Draft basic mechanical and electrical drawings.\n\n * Designs, supports, improves and tests moderate to high complexity test systems and equipment. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\nBasic Qualifications (Level 2)\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM field \u0026 2+ years of related technical test engineering experience, OR a Master\u0027s degree in a STEM field.\n\n * Solid understanding of programing with LabView embedded systems.\n\n * Previous experience designing test automation and industrial controls system\n\n * Experience developing process and instrumentation diagrams (p\u0026id), controls narratives and testing protocols for new and existing systems.\n\n * Solid understanding of analog and digital test equipment and circuitry \n\n * During testing, the ability to work extended hours and off shifts \n\n * Demonstrated experiences of good electronic abilities and background.\n\n * Ability to obtain \u0026 maintain a DoD Secret level clearance (US Citizenship Required)\n\n * Experience operating electromechanical systems and Thermal cycle/ thermal vacuum chambers\n\n * Experience in Space industry standards such as Acceptance, Functional and Qualification Testing\n\n * Experience with designing fixtures utilizing lab equipment, instrumentation, and HW/SW interfaces.\n\n * Experience troubleshooting and performing technical analysis on electrical, mechanical or software anomalies issues relating to test equipment\n\n * Demonstrated experience working alongside teams of engineers and technicians while providing training, instruction, goals, and motivation.\n\n * Experience working in an agile \u0026 lean environment\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications (Level 3)\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM field \u0026 5+ years of related technical test engineering experience, OR a Master\u0027s degree in a STEM field \u0026 2+ years of related technical test engineering experience.\n\n * Solid understanding of programing with LabView embedded systems.\n\n * Previous experience designing test automation and industrial controls system\n\n * Experience developing process and instrumentation diagrams (p\u0026id), controls narratives and testing protocols for new and existing systems.\n\n * Solid understanding of analog and digital test equipment and circuitry \n\n * During testing, the ability to work extended hours and off shifts \n\n * Demonstrated experiences of good electronic abilities and background.\n\n * Ability to obtain \u0026 maintain a DoD Secret level clearance (US Citizenship Required)\n\n * Experience operating electromechanical systems and Thermal cycle/ thermal vacuum chambers\n\n * Experience in Space industry standards such as Acceptance, Functional and Qualification Testing\n\n * Experience with designing fixtures utilizing lab equipment, instrumentation, and HW/SW interfaces.\n\n * Experience troubleshooting and performing technical analysis on electrical, mechanical or software anomalies issues relating to test equipment\n\n * Demonstrated experience working alongside teams of engineers and technicians while providing training, instruction, goals, and motivation.\n\n * Experience working in an agile \u0026 lean environment\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience working with NI hardware such as PXIe \u0026 cRIO.\n\n * Experience programming FPGAs\n\n * Experience setting up applications using Atlassian tools and Power Automate\n\n * Experience with software V\u0026V and version control\n\n * Basic knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer\n\n * Current \u0026 active DoD security clearance\n\n * Experience working with high powered AC \u0026 DC control systems\n\n * Experience Working in a ISO controlled cleanroom\n\n * Experience working with Cryogenic fluids and gaseous pressure systems.\n\n * Basic understanding of network systems\n\n * Ability to create and establish project goals and execute objectives with minimum supervision\n\n * Experience working with a cross functional engineering team.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
