ENGINEERING MANAGER
Luxury Resort • Caribbean • USD $50,000 net per year + Service Charge

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for a luxury resort on a remote island in the Caribbean. This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, and facilities functions across the property. The right candidate is technically strong, solutions-focused, and fully comfortable with the operational realities of a remote island environment. Experience in the Caribbean or a remote island destination is mandatory for this role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across the property, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general infrastructure

Lead, develop, and manage the engineering team, ensuring operational discipline and technical excellence

Implement and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance programme for all property assets and equipment

Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies, and guest-impacting issues

Manage vendor and contractor relationships, procurement, and inventory of engineering supplies and spare parts

Monitor energy, water, and utility consumption and drive sustainability and efficiency initiatives

Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and building regulations across all areas of the property

Collaborate with other department heads to support seamless resort operations

WHAT YOU BRING

Remote island or Caribbean hospitality experience is mandatory - candidates without this background will not be considered

Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Chief Engineer in a luxury hotel or resort environment

Strong technical knowledge across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems

Comfortable managing operations in a remote, island-based environment with limited external resources

Strong leadership and team development skills

Solid understanding of preventive maintenance programmes, energy management, and compliance

Single-status preferred for relocation
