Hempstead Ford is looking for a motivated Entry Level Service Technician to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity for someone who has at least 6 months of hands-on automotive experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.

The day-to-day responsibilities include performing work on assigned repair orders, diagnosing vehicle concerns, and learning alongside experienced technicians to continue developing your skills.

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding vehicle findings and any additional service needs
Provide accurate estimates of time needed for additional repairs
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications
Learn from experienced technicians and continue developing diagnostic and repair skills
Stay current on new technology, repair procedures, and manufacturer specifications
Minimum of 6 months of hands-on automotive experience REQUIRED
Ford Certification preferred
State Inspector License Required
Previous Ford dealership experience preferred
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical dexterity
Basic computer skills
Motivated to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in automotive
Eagerness to improve technical skills and take on additional responsibilities
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
