Entry Level Warehouse Maintenance Tech

Warehouse Maintenance Technician 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00PM-1:00AM 

Hourly Rate: $19.00-$22.00 + $1.50 per hour for shift differential PAID WEEKLY

Major Responsibilities 

• Monitor facility activities to promote a safe work environment.


• Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyor system.


• Preventative maintenance of industrial fork lift batteries.


• Keep Manager informed of operational issues and/or problems.


• Communicate with Leaders and associates of work to be performed and/or status of equipment; perform necessary equipment adjustments, repairs, modifications, and/or preventative maintenance as appropriate; Observe and/or test the adjustments, repairs, or modifications to ensure safe operation; Notify affected Leaders.


• Understand and demonstrate Essendant’s Values and Safety Accountabilities.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

Skills/Knowledge Preferred:

• Ability to perform all required tasks within the scope of Maintenance Associate 1


• Perform required tasks and functions in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures, rules, and established processes.


• Ability to be trained and certified on PIT equipment.


• Ability to pass NFPA 70E Standards for Electrical Safety Arc Flash training.


• Must be able to utilize job specific technology (email and CMMS on a computer or tablet).


• Maintain, organize, and support issued equipment and tools.


• Perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.


• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping of the facility/work area.


• Assist in other Distribution Center functions, as required.


• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.


• Must possess problem solving skills.


• Ability to apply specialized skill training to make decisions and recommendations.
