Location: Warehouse Operations \u0026 Mainten \n\nDepartment: Indoor Air Quality \n\nArea:District Wide \n\nContract Months:12 \n\nSalary Range: $46,820.80 \u2013 $77,251.20 \n\nAcademic Year: 25-26 \n\n## JOB SUMMARY\n\nProvides Asbestos, Mold and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) consulting services to the district. Serves as an in-house professional services consultant on HISD projects. Conducts project and material specific inspections, investigations, testing, sampling, specifications, project oversight, project completion inspections, review and clearance.\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n * Conducts asbestos consulting services including inspections /sampling /removal specifications.\n * Provides mold consulting services including inspections /sampling /remediation specifications.\n * Performs indoor air quality consulting services including inspections /sampling, and provides corrective actions.\n\n\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED\n\n * Records asbestos, mold IAQ job-related data in departmental database system and maintains database.\n * Conducts lead consulting services including inspections /sampling /specifications.\n * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n## EDUCATION\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n## WORK EXPERIENCE\n\n3 to 5 years\n\n## SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION\n\nMicrosoft Office, CAD \nOffice equipment (e.g., computer, copier), Hand tools (e.g., hammer, shovel, screwdriver), Power tools (e.g., radial saw, reciprocating saw, drill, pheunomatic hammer), Vehicles (e.g., automobile, truck, tractor, forklift) \nLicensed Asbestos Consultant\n\n## LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nWork Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees, but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing typically involves monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of same duties they are leading.\n\n## WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT\n\nWork involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an \"as needed\" basis.\n\n## BUDGET AUTHORITY\n\nNo budget development activity is required.\n\n## PROBLEM SOLVING\n\nDecisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude, but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.\n\n## IMPACT OF DECISIONS\n\nFollows rules and procedures. Decisions can have minimal or no impact to HISD. Errors can be readily detected, usually by the employee, and, if made, would result in minor expense for correction.\n\n## COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS\n\nBasic communication - very little communication required such as receiving basic instructions. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and co-workers in own department.\n\n## CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS\n\nTakes routine or required customer actions to meet customer needs. Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries and requests for information and coordinates appropriate follow-up.
