Job Description - Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 3






Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking a driven and experienced Environmental Services Operations Manager 3 to support Hoag Hospital in Irvine, CA. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee environmental services operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong operations leader—whether from healthcare or hospitality—who excels at managing large teams, thrives under high expectations, and leads with accountability and purpose. This position primarily supports the Irvine location with occasional coverage in Newport Beach and requires flexibility for a 2nd shift schedule.








What You'll Do






  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 50–100 associates and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence
  • Oversee daily EVS operations including staffing models, schedule creation, task delegation, and quality inspections to ensure regulatory and Sodexo standards are met
  • Conduct routine rounding, evaluate the environment of care, and partner with team members to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Prepare and deliver weekly performance reports, track key metrics, and lead special projects while maintaining a visible, hands-on leadership presence

What You Bring






  • 3+ years of leadership experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or hospitality operations (healthcare experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in high-demand, service-driven environments with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work a 2nd shift schedule and support multiple locations as business needs require
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on operational excellence, team development, and delivering outstanding client and patient experiences

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
