Job Description - Environmental Services Technician

Reliant Healthcare Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team in Katy, TX. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our patients, families, and employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Clean and disinfect patient care areas, offices, restrooms, common areas, hallways, and other assigned spaces

  • Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming

  • Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to established infection-control procedures

  • Empty trash and properly dispose of waste according to company guidelines

  • Restock restroom, sanitation, and cleaning supplies as needed

  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner

  • Follow established cleaning schedules and document completed duties when required

  • Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning or sanitation needs

  • Follow OSHA, infection prevention, safety, and company policies

  • Properly use cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Immediately report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to management

  • Help maintain a professional and welcoming appearance throughout the facility

  • Perform additional environmental services duties as assigned


Qualifications



  • Previous housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred

  • Healthcare or clinical environment experience is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and infection-control practices preferred

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working around patients and families


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday

  • Ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment

  • Ability to safely operate standard commercial cleaning equipment
