Environmental Surgery Technician

How you’ll contribute 

• Accurately receives stock supplies, labels, etc. from Materials Management to maintain minimum PAR levels and documents appropriately prior to storage. 

• Demonstrates knowledge of proper location of stock on-stock items by placing them in the appropriate locations. 

• Demonstrates knowledge of the process for identification of outdating supplies/sterile items and removes them from inventory immediately on discovery.

•  Properly documents receipt, and inventory control of stock supplies. 

• Adheres and maintains Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

•  Consistently washes hands upon arrival and numerous times throughout the day after handling dirty instruments or equipment, before and after breaks to minimize cross contamination. 

• Demonstrates knowledge of the basics of Infection Control and the factors that contribute to illness and contamination. 

• Consistently adheres to the Surgical Services dress code and departmental containment to prevent cross contamination. 

• Demonstrates and initiates aseptic techniques in daily work assignments. Performs general cleaning of department surface areas, racks, shelves, storage cabinets and all storage area.

What we’re looking for 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent - Required; Two years of college – Preferred

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills

Hourly range: $18.66 - $28.28
