ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Environmental team is seeking an Environmental Technician to join us in the Bridgeport, WV office. As a member of this collaborative team, you would join a group of engineers, designers, scientists, and technicians working on a wide range of projects for both public and private clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and classify streams and wetlands
- Perform environmental compliance and inspection
- Support wetland assessment and delineation field efforts, collecting appropriate field data relative to vegetation, soils, and hydrology
- Prepare reports for review
- Assist in the preparation of other environmental regulatory compliance documents
- Prepare and submit permit applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Document field observations and site conditions accurately and thoroughly
- Prepare detailed project reports that meet company, client, and agency standards
- Provide regular updates on project status, including milestones and deliverables
- Contribute to the overall success of projects by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or another related discipline
- A minimum of 1 year of experience performing field wetland delineations is preferred
- Overall knowledge of the permitting process, including prior experience coordinating permit applications, is highly desired
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write descriptive and technically accurate reports
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
