Schedule: Full-Time / Days or Nights / Monday-Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday / 12 hour shifts, 6:00AM - 6:00PM or 6:00PM - 6:00AM; schedule based on operational needs. 

Pay: $20.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift differential

Job Description:

TEMPO Employment Services is looking for an Equipment Operator to work at a local wood-processing facility. This person will safely operate loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. The job also includes helping with truck loading and unloading, cleaning up the work area, and assisting with basic maintenance.

This is a hands-on job for someone who enjoys working with equipment and staying busy. You should be comfortable working outside and doing different types of work throughout the day.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment


• Complete daily equipment checks before operating machinery


• Follow directions from supervisors


• Operate equipment safely around other workers and vehicles


• Clean and perform basic maintenance on equipment


• Load and unload trucks


• Help clean and maintain the work site


• Use a shovel and perform other physical tasks when needed


• Help the maintenance team with basic repairs and upkeep


• Help train new employees on safe equipment operation


• Follow all safety rules and procedures


• Attend safety meetings and inspections


• Work well with other team members


• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old


• High school diploma or GED required


• Experience operating loaders, forklifts, or other heavy equipment preferred


• Previous experience in a wood-processing or manufacturing facility preferred


• Able to safely operate and work around heavy equipment


• Able to follow directions and safety rules


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• Dependable and willing to learn


• Good attention to detail


• Able to stay focused and handle multiple tasks


• Comfortable working outside in different weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and dust


• Able to regularly lift and carry at least 50 pounds


• Able to wear required safety equipment


• Willing to work overtime when needed


• No visa sponsorship is available for this position
