Equipment Operator & Crew Member

Smith Lawnscapes LLC, a family-oriented landscape construction and maintenance company, is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator and Crew Member to join our dedicated team. 

Key Responsibilities:

-  Operate landscape and construction equipment safely and efficiently (skid steer, mini excavator, loaders, compactors, etc.)  

-  Assist with landscape construction, hardscape installs, grading, and site prep 

- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment 

- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance 

- Follow job plans, safety procedures, and quality standards 

- Work closely with Crew Leaders and team members 

- Support snow removal operations during the winter months 

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met

Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience operating landscape or construction equipment

- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions

- Strong work ethic, dependability, and punctuality

- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor 

- Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment operation and outdoor construction

- Willingness to learn and take pride in craftsmanship

- Ideal candidates should have at least one year of landscape or construction experience
