ERP Systems Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an ERP Systems Analyst based in Oakland County, Michigan, to support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and associated business software. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Project Accounting, Materials Management, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Control—to streamline workflows, optimize data reporting, resolve application issues, and align system functionality with core operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance enterprise ERP software and related applications to ensure optimal performance, data integrity, system security, and business alignment.

• Partner with cross-functional department leaders to gather requirements, document current and future-state workflows, and translate business operational needs into functional system specifications.

• Design, test, and deploy custom reports, dashboards, and data solutions using SQL-based tools, SSRS, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms.

• Evaluate system updates and new software releases in test environments, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and supporting smooth deployment.

• Identify process bottlenecks and implement workflow enhancements, approval routings, and automated business solutions.

• Provide local application support and travel periodically between local facility sites within Oakland County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience in business systems analysis, ERP support, application maintenance, or manufacturing software environments.

• Strong analytical, analytical problem-solving, and diagnostic skills with a track record of troubleshooting complex software issues.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills with a strong service-oriented approach to supporting internal end-users.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local office locations within Oakland County.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience supporting ERP applications, ideally within a project-based, engineered-to-order, or manufacturing context.

• Functional experience with database query and reporting tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, Power BI, Microsoft Dataverse, or integrated ERP report writers.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, document system specifications, and facilitate end-user training.
