Job Title: EST III Operator

Location: Fort Sam Houston, TX

Position Description:

PD Systems is seeking an EST III Operator. The EST III is a training system that supports primarily Basic Rifle Marksmanship (BRM) instruction as a part of Initial Entry Training (IET). Additional instruction supported includes advanced rifle marksmanship training, crew-served weapon familiarization training, and tactical decision-making engagement scenarios for soldiers, police/security forces, unit/installation cadre, and mobilizing/deploying units, soldiers and authorized personnel.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Assist in training military personnel in the preparation and presentation of weapons-use, safety, range etiquette and marksmanship instruction using the EST III system.


• Responsible for "Training the Trainer" to ensure qualified military personnel are prepared for training units.


• Conduct after action review (AAR) teaching points.


• Conduct preventative maintenance of the computer control stations, consoles, and weapons/firearms daily.


• Load all scheduled preventive maintenance, unit attendance and methods of training into the TS-MATS web-based program.


• Perform daily maintenance and upkeep of the EST III training facility.


• Conduct user certification training on the EST III as well as other associated/non-associated weapons training simulators.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).


• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.


• Knowledge of military firearms, marksmanship and military protocol/courtesy.


• Public speaking, computer use and leadership ability.
