Location

Denver, Colorado — on-site. Join our team in a professional, collaborative Denver office environment where attorneys work closely together on sophisticated client matters.

This is a highly selective opportunity for an attorney with 3+ years of directly relevant estate and tax planning experience. Candidates with strong experience at a large or sophisticated law firm, particularly those who have advised ultra-high-net-worth clients on taxable estate planning matters, are especially encouraged to apply.

Job Description

  • Advise ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to complex financial, family, business, and tax considerations.
  • Handle taxable estate planning matters requiring strong technical knowledge and sound legal judgment.
  • Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related instruments.
  • Counsel clients regarding wealth transfer, succession, charitable planning, and other advanced planning strategies.
  • Analyze complex tax and estate planning issues and translate them into practical recommendations for clients.
  • Work directly with clients and collaborate with other professionals, including financial advisors, accountants, and other legal professionals.
  • Manage multiple sophisticated matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and client service.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help deliver high-quality legal work on behalf of demanding clients.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active Colorado bar license and good standing.
  • 3+ years of directly relevant estate and tax planning experience.
  • Strong experience with sophisticated estate planning and taxable estate matters.
  • Experience advising high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families strongly preferred.
  • Big-law, Am Law, boutique, or other sophisticated law firm experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters independently while working effectively with a team.

    • 3 to 4 years: $160,000 to $180,000
