A Brief Overview
The Esthetician Team Lead provides advanced skin care services under physician supervision while serving as the lead resource for esthetic operations. This position oversees daily workflow, supports the esthetician team, coordinates scheduling, maintains service quality standards, and ensures exceptional patient experience. The Team Lead partners closely with the physician and office leadership, upholding patient confidentiality and adhering to all clinical safety and compliance requirements.
Experience Qualifications
- 1 year Esthetician experience in a medical spa, dermatology, or related experience. Required
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced skill in esthetic treatment procedures and skincare product knowledge.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
- Ability to coordinate complex patient care workflows and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comfort using scheduling, EMR, and photo documentation systems.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Licenses and Certifications
- Esthetician - KSBCL Required
What you will do
- Perform and oversee delivery of esthetic services including microdermabrasion, microneedling, Sciton & Cutera laser treatments, chemical peels, waxing, lash/brow tinting, and topical skin care applications.
- Serve as the primary liaison to the supervising physician for clinical protocols, treatment planning, and escalated patient concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to estheticians regarding treatment techniques, safety protocols, product usage, and patient communication.
- Conduct quality checks on documentation, treatment records, pre/post photos, and care plans to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in staff scheduling, daily assignments, and workload balancing. Train new esthetic team members and provide ongoing skill development support.
- Support retail sales processes, monitor product performance, and assist with merchandising strategies.
- Ensure treatment rooms, waiting areas, and workspaces remain clean, organized, and fully supplied. Monitor esthetic equipment functionality, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Oversee ordering, stocking, and inventory tracking of all skincare products and supplies.
- Lead team huddles and communicate updates related to treatments, products, promotions, and equipment.
- Track referrals, consultations, and service utilization; oversee distribution of referral coupons/letters.
- Attend and occasionally lead esthetic team meetings; present practice updates as needed.
- Support creation and distribution of marketing, educational, and promotional materials.
- Guide team in providing consistent, high quality patient care and hospitality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
