Job Title: Bistro Associate
Location: Courtyard by Marriott – Newark-Granville, OH
Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager

Expected Availability: Weekdays, Alternating Weekends, 5pm-11pm

Position Summary

The Bistro Associate is a key member of our Courtyard by Marriott team, responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and attentive service to guests in the Bistro restaurant and bar. We are looking for a full-time attendant during our second shift with weekend availability, as needed. This role involves preparing and serving Starbucks® beverages, made-to-order food items, and alcoholic beverages, while ensuring a welcoming and upbeat dining experience that reflects the Marriott service culture. 

Key Responsibilities

  Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding service professionally and engagingly.

  Take guest orders, process transactions accurately, and deliver food and beverages promptly.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare Starbucks® specialty drinks and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met.

  
  


• 
  

  Follow all food and beverage preparation procedures to maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up, restocking, and cleaning work areas.

  
  


• 
  

  Operate the point-of-sale system, handle cash/credit transactions, and balance cash drawers as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Uphold Courtyard by Marriott and brand standards for guest satisfaction, food quality, and service excellence.

  
  


• 
  

  Work collaboratively with fellow associates to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive team environment.

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Previous customer service or food & beverage experience preferred, but not required.

  
  


• 
  

  Must be at least 18 years of age 21 to serve alcohol.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  
  


• 
  

  Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  
  


• 
  

  Food Handler’s Permit and/or Alcohol Server’s Permit if available. Can be obtained through classes we will have provided. 

  
  

Physical Requirements

• 
  

  Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  
  


• 
  

  Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. as needed.

  
  


• 
  

  Move safely and quickly in a food service environment.
