Position Summary: Primary responsibilities include assisting team members with overall operations of the shelter facility and responsible for the direct care, behavior management, and supervision to shelter residents, ages 5-17. This includes monitoring personal hygiene, health, medication administration, client intakes and discharges, meal preparation, clean-up and maintenance, assistance with the planning and facilitation of daily cultural & physical activities to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our youth.
Work Schedule: M-F 3pm-11pm. May be asked to work holidays and other shifts. Flexibility required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Shelter Van must be thoroughly cleaned 1x a week. This includes disinfecting the van, vacuum, and car wash.

Employees who work more than 35 hours a week are eligible for ADY benefits the first of the month following hire date.

Education/Experience:

Language Ability:
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Ability:
Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record as outlined in the employee handbook.

Frequent talking and listening. Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and bending. Lifting up to 40 lbs. Be able to climb several levels of stairs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, and writing utensils. Vision requirements as required by having possession of valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
